Ho ho ho!

Looks like the kids will be pleased with what Santa's gonna leave under the tree this year. A 1/32 slot car racing set with Stella's red MCS and Charlie's blue MC. I ordered it in and just picked it up.

Looks like a lot of fun. Review to follow after the big day.

I doubt you can go wrong. Scalextric is the ultimate in slot car racing, IMHO. I had that brand 30 years ago (with a BRG MINI Cooper), and always wanted the excuse to buy it again as an adult. Unfortunately my boy is only 4 years old...

I also got one for my........son? I also bought Handsome Rob's white MC to complete the set.

BTW, the set is HUGE. A little over 4' by 8'. I'm having conniptions trying to figure out a spot to permanently mount the track and have it fold out on the wall somewhere. Its gonna be a fun Christmas.

Happy Holidays,

Luigi & Bloo

$149 locally for the set w/ 2 cars. The third car (white) was $43 more

Thinking about hanging the set overhead with ropes and pullys in the garage.

My local dealer gets list price - $169. I'd go mail order but I'm afraid the shipping would chew up the discount. I'm not crazy about that layout either - that crash & bash stuff doesn't do much for me...

I'm working on getting a custom made HO IJ set of cars made! Woo Hoo!

That'd be cool!!! Although I have seldom admitted it on NAM, I have tons of cool HO stuff, including some diecast converisons of classic Minis (Hot Wheels), Sunbeam Tigers (JL), Cobras (JL), and many others. I love Scaletrix but I just don't have that much room!!! BTW, I prefer Tjets and yank the traction magnets out of everything else!

I've been checking out the IJ Scaletrix in Toronto. It looks great!

The price here is $250 (Cdn.). The additional cars (there's a gorgeous LY one available) are $65 Cdn.

They're sold in a store here called MiniGrid. Fitting, isn't it?

Buy or not buy. Buy or not buy. Buy or not buy. Buy...........!
