Has anyone here ordered a mini from Mini of the Hamptons? I placed my order on Friday and paid my $2K deposit, but according to my Mini of the Hamptons rep their computers have been down for several days, so she doesn't even know if the order has been placed yet. I'm getting a bit nervious about this, and am looking for reassurance that Mini of the Hamptons is a real dealer, and I'm not victim of some bizarre scam.

I want my production number....

I've seen only good things posted about them. They seem to be very popular for out of state orders.

Yes...MINI of the Hamptons is an excellent dealer and we have been working with them for a long time now. If you feel nervous please give Torr Marro (sales manager) a call and let him know your concerns. He and the team there will go out of their way to make sure you are satisfied.

Best regards,

Mark

Don't fear. They are an excellent dealer. I picked mine up last April, and they have an excellent pick and delivery service with loaner car (free!) when ANYTHING needs to be done to your MINI.

Very nice. But very busy in the summer.

Good luck.

Regards,
Red

Dealers all over the country were reporting that their computers were down yesterday. I have not heard if it was resolved today or not.

Another vote of confidence for Mini Of The Hamptons. I picked mine up last February and they were excellent from start to finish.

I spoke with Torr today, and all is now well. I have my production number. It seems that BMW switched from a satelite based network for ordering to an Internet based system (or something like that).

Torr was very cool, so was Joan I have to say.

Let the waiting begin, looks like I have a week 50 build date, so given the 3 or so weeks shipping from Long Island to SoCal, I guess my due date is end Jan, early Feb or so.

Thanks for all the words of reassurance, this forum is so much friendlier and happier than the BMW 3 series forum I used to hang out on while I was waiting for my last car to arrive.

Hi!

I'm in the process of deciding (very soon!) to order from Hamptons too based on a Mr Dito promise of a second week of January receipt. Is that realistic? I'm hoping it is as I may need to be renting a car to make it till the MINI comes! And please, any information on fees/costs/etc. is very welcomed and appreciated. I'm in SoCal as well. Thank you!!

Lee Ann

At Mini of the Hamptons they will treat you right.
It might be that they realize that they are "way-out-there" geographically ??
Not sure, but they are some of "the good ones", and will do what they say.
Have the best prices that I have seen as well.
Good luck with your aquisition

I had my 04 CVT delivered to Philly from Mini of the Hamptons. They are EXCELLENT!! Mike Dito is a great Motoring Advisor! I did my whole transaction over the internet and never had to speak with him over the phone! He is very patient and is always pleased to answer any questions you may have! I highly recommend Mini of the Hamptons!

I got my '03 MCS last Nov, and everything worked out fine.
I know your anxious but all will work out. Joan was very helpful,
but the truth is, the car sold itself.

Good luck-
Jim

I live in New Jersey, but I bought my MCS from Mini of the Hamptons and they were great. I dealt with Joan. All the dealers in Jersey had long waiting list for an MCS.

They have a great selection. I decided not to order one, (I didn't want to wait) I bought one of the incoming MCS's that was already on route to their dealership. I did everything over the phone (I never went out there) and I had my MCS delivered to my work in Sept.

If you don't want to wait, they should have plenty of Mini's in stock. Most of the cars that have a fully loaded.

It was a great experience and I would definitely buy from them again. You should have no problems with them.
