BPV DIY?

After a fruitless search, I'm seeking the advice of some of the gurus on here.
Is there a DIY on removing and repairing the By-pass Valve on an R53? Emily is a 2002 MCS that just turned 45,000 miles, and despite being well-maintained, she's feeling a bit sluggish.
Money is tighter than a (insert analogy here), and until I can break some money free, I have to make due with what's available.
I'm fairly adept, mechanically, and have the time. Unfortunately.
As an aside, wouldn't it be cool if there was a section on NAM that had a listing of DIYs?
I'm just sayin'....
Thanks in advance,
Hegira

Here's a link to the replacement instructions that Detriot Tuned uses, they don't have then on their own site.

As far as repairing it there's been a thread or two here on NAM having to do with making it work properly
