Supercharger "Groaning" Noise-Second Replacement!!?

Hi, I am new to this site, joined today Can you help? I have tried for the last month to rectify, noises coming from my supercharger. I recently took it in to a MINI specialist, and he told me the bearings are starting to go. It was making like a groaning noise, which was apparant all the time the engine was running.

So I found a cheap "new in box" supercharger on ebay. Got them to fit it, and low and behold, the groaning noise was still there, only this time not so loud. Can be heard at start-up, and settles a bit when engines warms up. The specialist said it was the supercharger again, and this time the tolerance level was to high in this unit

I was so gutted, as I thought all my worries ere sorted. I even bought the 5th generation charger with the teflon coated blades. I am a little stumped as to what to do now?
I have been reaserching ever since, maybe it needs new oil? maybe the water pump gearing? I just dont know what to do? I can only see one option and that is to buy yet another charger?

You would think maybe changing the oild would get rid of this now, more faint groaning noise?

With the serp belt off, spin your tensioner pully, your idler pully and your alternator by hand to see if any of those are rough. All should spin very easily and be very smooth.

You can get your superchargers re-built for 500$ or so....sounds like lots of folks are having great luck with the nam sponsor down on old town Fl.
I do find it odd that they both have the same problem, but then again a lot of e-bay stuff is crap/buyer beware.

Hi Autoex
No first time he is saying Bearings, but this time apparantly its a fault with the charger, it has a high tolerance level? But it has the same wherring/humming/groaning sound. Its aparant when the engine is first started, then it quietens down, can just be heard when driving.

No rattle from the bearings
