MiniCarolinaGirl,

If you want to match Zip up with something...since y'all are from the South...

How about? Zip-A-Dee-Do-Dah

all these replies seem a bit forced...you are working a bit too hard...the name of your MINI should come to you and roll off your tongue.

My MINI was named even before I owned her, it was love at first sight and I knew what I would call her...and that I would buy her after that first test drive.

You just know....same goes with my son's name.

Paul

It's meant as just a generalization...

I guess I got lucky, my pets, my kid, my cars all seemed to name themselves.

I was thinking of calling my MINICooperS Bugs but the hubby thought too many people would think of the VW Bug - so out the window that idea went.
A *long* time ago, I had a VW Bug named George.

Since your MINI's a girl, how 'bout Georgia? Or, Jawja?

C ya,
Dutch

PS: My MINI's a guy, and his name is Nudnik

02ElectricBlueS - Nope just having a bit of fun - thinking out loud, if you will.

joe_bfstplk - Jawja, I have a slight accent, but it's not that bad Kidding, it's a cute name.

Well, I have a list of great names a mile long. I just have to go through them and pick one that best suits my MINI - and they're so many good ones. This thread has been great. I have really enjoyed it but it has to end sometime. So, I'll post the name I choose after Thanksgiving. And as I stated early on, if I choose a name that you've suggested, I'll send you a batch of my wonderful Cowboy Cookies. If you have anymore great name ideas, please send them my way soon. Have a great week everyone!

What you want to avoid is debating so long over the list of names that he never gets named at all. That happened to our first MINI, I made sure that never happened again.

Okay - drum roll please....I have decided on a name for my MINI......
It's.....Paddington...... it pays homage to it's British roots being that it's a british name. It is also the name of a famous British Bear, Paddington Bear - and I collect teddy bears....so it was perfect!

Thanks so much to EVERYONE that took part in the fun. I enjoyed logging on each day to see what everyone suggested. There were so many great names! I have to say it really was a close call (I liked Stella a lot - thanks MiniCooperWill!) but in the end Paddington won out.

Happy belated Thanksgiving!

TimL - Thanks, I like it a lot too. I have been calling "Paddington", Paddi for short but by looking at the picture you just posted, "PB" is great - never thought to abbreviate the name using the initials. And, it sounds good when you say it too! I like it much better and it's quicker to say as well as type. Just when I thought I was done - . Thanks!

If you go with PB, you'll need to get another MINI and name it "Jay"....

C ya,

I've been waiting for you to sex her (decide if she was a boy or a girl).

I was going to suggest "Sweet Caroline" after the Neil Diamond song and your home state.

"Sweetie' for short.

Looks like I came a little late to the party. Enjoy her, um, (guess it is him if he is named Paddington).
