I am running General Altimax Arctic's for the winter months, this has been my second season with them and they have been excellant so far.
Will change them out right around Thanksgiving, Seperate 16 Sporteditions F7 wheels tire size 205 55 16, nice ride not to noisy.

Sumitomo HTRZIII in the summer, Firestone Winterforce in the winter. The summer tires have provide more grip than you can safely use on the street*, so it is only a street car those are good option both performance and $$$ wise. *by which I mean by the time you exceed the tires road holding capabilities you will already be way over the speed limit.

I have 2005 JCW original tires, Is my car equip with "run flat tire"? It has 205/45/17. I would like to replace 4 of them, any recommendation what brand? Anyone has a good tire ride result - wet & dry situation + snow?
Might have better luck in the Tires, Wheels & Brakes Section of NAM. The whole All-Season, Wet & dry situation + Snow & Ice discussion seem to be the topic. I don't run All-Seasons (as it was 82 degrees today in CA) so I don't know much about them, but I did find this sticky regarding Winter Tires here Per Alex at Tire Rack. Probably better selection in 205/50-17.
I have an 06 BRG MCS and am planning to get snow tires. Blizzaks from a friend. But I heard there's an issue between pre-May 06 and post-May 06 production? How do I find out since I bought the car previously-loved? Any suggestions? Oh, I live in Pittsburgh, so I definitely want snow tires since he's my only vehicle.
there is no problem...its just thats when they switched from 12mm lug bolts to 14mm bolts... you can probably measure. if your using any stock wheels you'll be fine regardless
Unfortunately, all-season tires are a compromise. In most cases, summer tires are much better in the rain (and sun, of course). Snow tires are far superior to A/S in snow.
The one situation where A/S are best is very low temps, but no snow. Summer tires don't do well at very low temps.
For Summer Tires, Michelin Pilot Exhalto PE2 have good grip, and are fairly civilized. Bridgestone Potenza RE-11 may have better grip, but are probably less civilized. Close rivals of the RE-11 (better grip in some categories, but less civilized) are Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1 Star Spec (although you'd have to go for 215/45-17).
Michelin Pilot Sport A/S are one of the better all-season tires. The new Pirelli P-Zero Nero All Season are supposed to be quite good as well. I have a set of Pilot Sport A/S on an Integra and no complaints. I have older P-Zero Nero M&S 205/55-16 on one set of wheels for the MCS, but I like the Michelin PE2 better.
I found this particularly interesting for wet conditions:
"Things are much the same when braking from 60 mph. The summer tire's 157-foot stop is the shortest, the snow tires come up 2nd at 181 feet and the all-season tires lag further behind in a flurry of ABS activity on the way to a distance of 215 feet, some 58 feet longer than the summer tire."

I am using Toyo Proxes4. 205/45 17. Its an Ultra high performance all season. ZR ratings. Cons: Still hydroplane a bit on hitting shallow puddle on hard thunderstorm on freeway. Other than that the grip is pretty good on dry condition and its quiet. Price for one is $105. Its made in japan.
I'm from New England area -- yep snow.
Ok, Goodyear is good huh?
Not for New England snow - I've put 2 winters on my Dunlop Wintersport 3D's, love them - better yet, I TRUST them - just reinstalled for their third season (7-8/32's!) - a fellow member in the Sports Car Club of Vermont uses Dunlop W/sport M3's and (iirc) is re-buying the same...
Also available ROF (run on flat), but I don't...
As for if you have run-flats, check your sidewalls - if they are they'll say it somewhere...
Where in New England? Someone near me has a set of Dunlop Graspics (205/55-16) for sale look like new at a great price if you're going to a second set of wheels (16")...
