I have only had my new Cooper for 1 week I can't stop raving about this car in all aspects. I can't stop driving teh damn thing. My father just purchased a new 2002 Corvette and I tell you this car is 100 times more fun and gets 100 times more looks.
The only problem I've noticed( after 500 miles) is with the clutch. Putting it into first from neutral doesn't always just slip into gear.
Oh I almost forgot that teh other problem is all these damn people pulling next to me, following me, and ogling my car when it's parked. I haven't seen Ferraris get this much attention!
It is good to hear that you like it, I am looking into buting one right now. I currently drive a firebird, so the switch should be close to you going from a Vette to the cooper.
We have no complaints with our Cooper either. We just drove from Atlanta to Jacksonville Florida and back with no problems. The car is rock solid at 80 MPH and was still getting 31 MPG at 80 according to the trip computer. The sunroof being cracked open does get loud at these speeds though. Be ready to deal with the frustration of being stuck in your lane as other cars stick to you like parasites with their occupants turning their heads in ways nature never intended just to get a look at this car! The number one question has been..."what is it!".

>>Joe Did you get your's from the Jax dealer? Any surprises upon delivery? I've heard nasty rumors that some dealers were adding mark up after the car has been delivered, over and above what they quoted when you gave your deposit.
