im looking into buying a set of rather "tired wheels, theyare scratched and knicked and have a little curbage. i would also like to repaint them. does anyone have a DIY on this? thanks

did you check the full thread i posted? He goes over fixing curbage using the aluminum epoxy stick. There isn't much more to it. You apply that stuff and then sand it down.
i saw the fix with the stick but it didnt go into it very far. im sure i can figure it out.
what more do you need to know? getting the wheels media blasted takes away about half the rash. fill the rest with aluminum epoxy, let it cure, shave with a razor, finish sand, prime, sand, paint then wetsand and clear. pretty straightforward...nothing tricky about it besides taking your time and proper sanding and paint techniques.
whatever it takes to removed the paint and smooth the rash. you can do a chemical dip too, but that only strips the paint. you can do all this refinishing at home without having to get an acid dip or blasting...just plan on lots of sandpaper and elbow grease.

Are you just planning on painting them or are you repairing damage as well? Either way I would suggest going to a professional if you havnt had much experience painting before.
