OT - Krut's New Living Room
QoC #1 swears he sprouted foundation and a purse when he looked at the pictures of my de-dogged living room.
Thoughts please:

Remove the towel from the oven handle
Remove bags of soil from door area
Only leave out on counter what is absolutely necessary.
Add art work on orange wall near chairs
Try switching ottoman & square table- put ottoman between black chairs and square table next to lounger with a small lamp added.
I like the rugs/gnomes.....

I didn't mean to imply it wasn't tidy- I just personally prefer kitchens, especially if they're open to another room to not have a lot of crap on the counter- same goes for bedroom-(a tip for when you move onto the bedroom redecorating project) no one wants to see that Ax deodorant can, or 3 weeks worth of receipts laying around...bonus is it makes it much easier to dust and keep "the look" you're after! The living room has a modern clean feel to it, that's why I mentioned putting the stuff out of sight.
Enjoy your new room!

Red paint looks great if you use gray or black primer instead of the traditional white primer...

Ha....that's funny! We call our bedroom "the vortex" also! ...but it's because we have an A/C unit and a big fan blowing on high speed 24/7. We prefer a freezing cold room.....more snuggling that way
.
The room looks nice. I spy IKEA merchandise
.

Rugs are okay. Awesome place. Rug burns are like road hazards. Sometimes you can't avoid them when you are having fun!
