Registration Deadline: March 15, 2007, 12:00pm (Form)
Marmota monax be damned. We are officially declaring March 18 as Avenge Punxsutawney Phil Day. The plan is for all of us to gather our MINIs in the Robinson Township Giant Eagle parking lot at 9:30 AM. If the MINIs fail to see their shadows because the weather is cloudy, we are road-tripping to the Classic Car Museum in Canton, Ohio. If our MINIs see their shadows because the weather is bright and clear, Kaye & Jim Dowdy are dropping their MINI top and leading us on the road trip to the Classic Car Museum!
EVENT AGENDA
9:30am - Meet in Giant Eagle parking lot in Robinson Twp. (Coffee and donuts provided.)
10:00am - Depart on Road Trip. (It would be a good idea to bring a 2-way radio set to Channel 7 Sub-Channel 21.)
1:00pm - Guided tour of the Canton Classic Car Museum.
3:15pm - Dinner at Lindsey’s Restaurant. (Lindsey's will be open just for us. The food is all home-cooked and will include: salad, pot roast, chicken, potatoes veggie, pasta, non-alcoholic drinks and pie for dessert.
Monthly $100 cash prize drawing.
A random drawing will award one $20 gas card to a lucky MINI participant.
Your club should go to the Glenmoor Gathering of Significant Automobiles, September 16, in Canton, too. It's a Concours showing of cars like those at Pebble Beach, CA, and Amelia Island, FL, and it is close by.
It is held EVERY year at the same time or year, at the Glenmoor Country Club [a Jack Nicklaus course], with a gated community surrounding it. The show each year has a different theme.
