2009 JCW WOW!

Drove one yesterday at MOP, during lunch.

It was sitting outside, I walked in and said, "Bill, you got a 2009 JC...." Before I could say W, Bill threw me the key.

I said "I'll be back!" and proceeded to drive it around for ~45 minutes.

All I can say is WOW!!!

As I was walking out to the car, one of the service techs proceeded to give me the dealership address, so that I would remember where to bring it back!

Steve

Have to agree with your assessment. I had gone to test a Cooper S & S Clubman and had a chance to spend some time in the JCW.
More power than I expected, stops lightning quickly. Only pity was that I didn't know how to turn off the digital nannies and let the EDLC work it's magic - ahh, next time!!

Man, did that screw up my thought processes about staying on budget!!??

Some kid wrecked one up there a week or 2 ago. It was red and black with the jcw body kit. I guess he took a turn to quick probably showing off because Bill said the kid picked his friends up and went joy riding. I guess he lost control going around a turn slammed into a brickwall.

Yep, on Serpentine Drive in Schenley Park. It was the exact car I drove the day it came off the truck, and it was Bill Schmitt's Demo. Here are some pictures from Bill:

Thanks for chiming in I couldn't remember the road. Yea Bill told me that stuff and showed me those pics. Looked like one awesome car before the wreck.

I drove a JCW Clubman, I wasn't sold on it completely even though it'd eat my S on a straight away. I'm going back whenever they get a coupe JCW demo in. John and Bill said they'd call me when they get one in.
