Come on Leon, stop stalling and lets get with the program!
I just got some new Blizzaks mounted and I can't wait to try them out!
Jason
Erm. This isn't Leon (that would be DixonL2 ).
It took me a little longer than I hoped, but I've been pretty darn busy. We plan to begin taking registrations through the new and improved website very soon.
February 24th, Sunday, it's on the site! We can't take registrations YET but we're working on it (new server / site tech stuff).
Pricing will be quite fair at $65/driver, $50/co-driver for the day, lunch included, start at 8, end at 3ish. (Compare this to winter driving schools with half the practice time at triple the cost!)
Format similar to Gyminikhana, but no eggs. About an hour of winter driving instruction, in-car instruction available, and lots of practice time.
Note: While we'll have plenty of practice time, this is a noncompetitive event, no timing equipment will be used, and we're running a "solo" format.

"I can do my own oil changes, change a tire, and can put together Ikea furniture. Should I try this on my own?"
Registered myself and my co-pilot .
Can't wait to meet some of you guys there. Judging by the picture from last year this event looks like a blast! Here's hoping it snows!
Those pictures couldn't possibly capture the wide grins (and some lo-ong drifts...). Lookin' forward to seeing everyone there!
Did we mention that there will be new Clubmans ("Clubmen"?) there?

Does anybody have a spare set of snow tires I can borrow? I really should invest in a set but I don't do much winter driving with the MINI. Right now my car is still on jackstands from installing my new sway bar. But my all-seasons are down to the wear bars and need to be replaced before I pull my car out again. I don't know if there will be snow but in the past they improvised with ice patches or just sand which simulates ice and has the added bonus of simulating driving in Florida It was fun nevertheless. But last year it was really fun with a few inches of ice and snow with the all-seasons. If you have never been, you will really enjoy it. Hurry up and register!

Whew! That's reassuring to hear. I have been looking forward to this event since I first read about it on the club website over a month ago, and this past week I have been watching the forecast like a hawk (hoping for snow). It doesn't really look like there will be more than an inch or two on the ground Sunday , so hopefully ice patches and sand are as fun as you say they are
Conditions are good there, and some snow is forecast between now and then - cross your fingers! BR is also good at making things slickery even without white stuff, so we're going to have a GOOD time...
An added bonus will be a preview of the Mini-Wood Derby Track, AND the new Mini Clubman (now available in Original New Car Scent, and now Pine!)
(the Clubman is the brandy new, real-car Mini from Mini of Pittsburgh, and the Pine-Scented version is, well, you'll have to come see...)

Woohoo! HORRIBLE weather today here in Indiana, PA. The roads were dreadfully slippery, so I have a good feeling about the chance of the track being nice and snowy this Sunday
