PDX MINI HEADS TO THE PORTLAND HISTORICS - JULY 7th , 8th, 2007
Every year, a great event takes place at Portland International Raceway. It’s THE track related event that PDX MINI participates in to the fullest. It’s a weekend of racing, collector cars, exotics, historics, and more. There’s plenty to do. You can watch the races, walk through the collector car display area, where more than 700 collector cars and classics will be shown. You can buy some gifts in the vendor area, too. Most of all, you can walk the open racing paddock. This is a great chance to get up close to your favorite race car and see what makes it tick. Visit with the drivers and crews of these great, old yet pristine, classic racing cars and hear their stories first hand.
Your $50.00 entry fee includes a two day admission ticket for the driver and a guest, one car corral pass, a dash plaque, and the ever-popular parade laps.
Each club must register as a collective group and no corral passes will be distributed on-site.
Last year, over 40 cars were present in the PDX MINI car corral. Come and join us! We’ll see if we can beat last year’s attendance!
The Portland Historic Races has named the classic Porsche sports car as the featured marque at this year’s event. Joining the Porsches will be a grid of historic Trans-Am cars from the original Trans-American series.
With an entry list of more than 200 prestigious historic cars, the event delivers an exciting blend of high-speed racing and classic presentation. The racecars are divided into groups according to make, age and horsepower. A typical representation includes Aston Martin, Brabham, Ferrari, Jaguar, Lotus, Lola, Maserati, MG, Shelby and Triumph, among many others.
