New to Pensacola and NAM

Is anyone in this club still active in the Pensacola area? I have had my mini for a few years and just started getting into upgrading it. Would love to meet other owners and see what upgrades they have done/get some pointers.

Thanks

The Pensacola chapter of PHM is still going strong but I'm not sure who you would contact.

Welcome to the area. As sndwave said, check out the Panhandle MINIs chapter of sunshineminis.org. There's an attempt at a monthly drive/event, but interest ebbs and flows... Also stop by MINI of Pensacola to meet John and Bradford when you have time... both enthusiasts. Others on NAM in the P'cola area may have more info regarding your projects (talking about you, MinMin). I think MoP still hosts a 2nd-Sat-of-the-month AM get together for anyone interested, too.

Hey!
I live in Pensacola and own a MINI. There is a Barktoberfest on October 25th at Seville Square in downtown Pensacola. Even if you don't have have a dog it would be a good event to meet everyone!

Checkout the Mini of Pensacola Facebook page.

What year Mini do you have?

I have a 2007 JCW convertible and my wife has a 2013 hardtop.

well I am getting an accessport and a water/meth kit by the end of the month and hoping to install, so any advice on that if someone has experience?

Otherwise, I need to get my tires aligned lol. Any recommendations in the Pensacola area that do a good job and don't break the bank?

I don't personally know of anyone with a water/meth kit. Let me know how it goes!

As for the regular maintenance on the MINIs, I take mine to Mini of Pensacola.

my past experience with MINI dealers is that they fleece the hell out of you on small services, charge at least $1000 on minor to moderate repairs, and find any excuse they can to show why something is your fault and therefore not under warranty... so I am a bit skeptical about taking it into the dealer for an alignment check.

That said, I will definitely keep people posted on the water/meth kit. It just seems like such a fun mod that I had to try it out for myself

Dealers and Maintenance

First, you are dealing with BMW not MINI for maintenance. If your MINI is not under warranty why deal with them. Second, find a local person the has worked with MINI's before and give him/her a try. The cost should be less and service better dealing with someone one on one.
