A Few Questions

Ok, so as of Monday I have been a MCS owner for three weeks... (*cheer!*) and I have driven it enough that I have composed a list of questions. Here goes (my model is a 2007 btw):

1. How do I change the wipers to intermitent when driving....I know I can do the occasional wipe by pressing down, or set it on regular by pulling up. But how to I set it to the delayed wipe? This is driving my husband and I both nuts.

2. The front license plate: What are my options for mounting it BESIDES drilling ( which I do NOT wan to do.) How do I hang it and where?

3. What does the sport button do? (Yes, I have the sports suspension package installed)

That's all I have thought of for now...input is greatly needed and appreciated!

Thanks,
Laura

1. Just a tap up should give you intermittent. Another tap up, constant.
2. I just drilled. There are no-drill kits. Someone will speak up.
3. The response from the throttle is quicker, less gradual. The steering gets less assist and feels quicker. If you have automatic transmission, the shift points are affected, and it engages more firmly.
4. CONGRATULATIONS!

if you hop on psmini.org and ask about the no drill kits, I know someone there will chime in. There is a Seattle-based place that sells them and an employee of the company is the president of psmini.

To get the intermitant wipers to work you push the button on the END of the wiper stalk - no up or down - just push in to turn on and a push in to turn off.

Hey Spudz, welcome to the site and Congratulations on your MINI.

In addition to what others said, try the "Search" function in the upper right corner. I remember there is a lengthy thread about Sport mode from a couple-few months back. You can also find info on just about any other question you can dream up.

Have a blast in your new MINI!

Welcome! I am a PSMINI Member and got my no drill license plate bracket at Gominigo. It works great and keeps the front a bit cleaner, IMO.

Enjoy your MINI! I've had mine for just under 2 months now and I love every chance that I have to drive it!

just to clarify on the wipers... pushing the button on the end = intermitant (there is only ONE intermitant setting ) Up once is constant slow, and up again is constant fast... down steps them back down one, until off. Say your on constant slow/fast.. you can hit the button again to get back to intermitant... The wipers also go down one speed automatically when you stop completely, and then resume when you start moving.

You can get those no-holes license plate brakets at a lot of the online mini sites, like others said. Thats what i'll be buying once i get pulled over for no front plate..till then...
