Just to take our minds off the war in Iraq, I thought a listing of current MCO member's other british marques might be in order. Although I love my MCS, my first love is all things MG. I currently own an MGC and an MGA, both roadsters. Past Brits included a Lotus Elan +2 (original Avenger's type). Beautiful but very fragile.

We currently own a 58 MGA - she's a beauty - lots of nice awards from her

We've owned many other MG's of various sorts and years - over the years - many fond memories in each one of them

Chow!

>> ... a bunch of Brit-nuts here!

After I joined MCO and began reading the boards, I became curiousabout what the ratio of the origins of interest in the Cooper. I know I come from the "Brit-nut" perspective and have loved Minis for over 20 years. But the more I read, the more I noticed there was a definite BMW influence in here as well.

I was thinking from a Brit perspective that a person could buy a MCS, a Jag S Type-R and a Miata and have a pretty decent rendition of a well stocked British garage circa 1968.

We currently have a 1960 Morris Minor Traveller, and have had a 1971 MGBGT in the past. We also entered a 1962 Austin Mini Cooper S in tthe 1998 Monte C arlo Historique Rallye, and the next year a 1965 Ford Lotus Cortina.
But I'm looking forward to my MCS due in a few weeks with even greater enthusiasm. Lots of plans for graduated mods over the summer. Many thanks to all who have sharedd their experience in this area!

I still have my 67 Cooper S (in excellent original condition) and a restored 64 E-Type Convertible! Want to sell the Jag though. My MCS is the most fun!

I own some pieces of British cars as well.Hey,if everybody chipped in the parts of British cars that they own,or owned,do you think we could construct a kind of British car Frankenstein?

I'm also a member of Delaware Valley Triumphs.Guess I will be showing up to meetings in a Mini now.

Don't want to sound like a smart arse but thought I should clear something up. There is no such thing as an Austin Martin. Its called an Aston Martin. I can see where the Austin bit came from as they used to be a big car company. I have owned a few British cars but thats not surprising considering I live here. My dad was just reading this and was impressed with some of the cars owned by you lot. He always goes on and on about his old Triumph he had b4 i was born. British cars aren't what they used to be. Only TVR and Lotus are still owned by British companys now. Bently and Rolls Royce have all be bought by Germans! My favourite car at the moment is a TVR Tuscan. Sexy.

Those 6 cylinder series rovers are always disgruntled!

I currently have a 1994 Land Rover Defender 90, and have had a 1968 Land Rover Series II A 88" (4-cylinder)
