Independence Day

I'd just like to take a moment to say thank you to all the NAM'ers who are serving (in the military) or who have served to keep us free and motoring where we please!

additionally to the brave men who signed the Declaration of Independence on July 2nd and the 4th, 1776 ...... who knew that signing was an "Act of Treason Against the Crown." and the penalty was death..... All this at a time when a Virginia farmer who barely had an army was the slender reed they were leaning on......

it is hard to get your mind around......

I'm sure they would appreciate a tip of the hat or a raise of the glass.

Happy 4th

Here Here! On this day I celebrate the founding fathers who had faith in the concept of democrary, stood up to King George and the imperial monarchy he led, and planted the seeds of democracy for the United States.

Also, here's to those in the military, those in other unforms serving our county's needs...police, firefighters, nurses, the list is endless...as well as all those who lead their lives treasuring democracy while realizing how fragile one is to maintain.

Also, I hope all you NAM'ers have a great 4th.

If you got the history channel, watch the Revolution (many parts).

Those founding fathers rocked. Can you imagine General Gage was astonished that the hicks in Boston didn't just lay down their arms and run away against the Worlds Greatest Army at Bunker HIll? Instead the Brits took the hill at the cost of 2000 dead vice like 200 for the US.

Hahnsie! Nice to see your name. I've been felling bad, well not 24/7 but it does keep crossing me mind. I promised to send you an Off Topic Band t-shirt from the last Dragon. It turned out I had too many conflicts to make it.

I'll make it up to you. Now stay safe.
