I have a 10 year old African Grey, who needs more attention than I can give him right now, I would love to find him a very nice home, must know birds, and this would be a permanent adoption. I am in Northern Ca, (almost Oregon) area. Please PM for more information.
I sure wish I could take him. I'm on the east coast. I love birds and have had two in the past. I've always wanted an African Grey. It is a Congo or a Timneh?
I definately understand your situation. I have a Quaker Parrot that needs more time than I have to give him. I've contemplated giving him away but I don't know of a home that would take a bird. Best of luck in finding a happy place for your Gray!
Aww, that's sad that you have to get rid of him. Perhaps there is a rescue that can help? They can screen people to be sure that they are prepared to care for a parrot well (and a long time since they have such long life spans as I understand).
