Why So Few New Threads?

I guess, technically, I'm asking why there are so very many long threads? I've just returned from a mental vacation and my attention span is short. It's practically a full time job trying to slog through 10 pages of one thread in attempt to catch up on all that I have missed.

What gives?

And where the hell did my sig go?

Where did your sig go?

I try to start new threads-fraggles and happy balls and purple haze toys and puppy mills and all, but I am fresh out of ideas right now...............

There's a Fraggle thread???? I clearly haven't done enough digging -- I LOVE Fraggles! Good job on the puppy mill thread, though. So sad... Now I'll have to pick up a Saint Bernard before Leif gets back from Xmas family break...

Casting my fears away and out looking for Uncle Traveling Matt, I remain,

Toast(y)

Toast, some of us have been working hard to get rid of the personal threads. That said, some of us have been showing our age

Why don't we just have one giant off-topic thread. Merge all of the others into a new ThreadZilla. That would be cool.

I tend to have nothing too valid to say, so I just find some already hopping thread and throw my 2 cents in to up my post count.

True, it's not that there aren't any new threads, it's just that entire families of new threads have both come and gone in the absence of our Toasty friend. All that is left is the merest remnant of what was once a vast galaxy of NAM sillyness and buffoonery. Stange episode, true...but also pretty funny in retrospect, imho.

Honestly it just seems that threads either get really long or just die out. Most of the really long threads aren't even that old because there will be a couple people posting back to each other, and when a lot of people are on these threads grow really fast.

Or there will be a very specific thread with a question or interest that is just not that common, so the question will either get answered or ignored if no one has any new information for it and the thread will die out.

Basically a lot of the recent stuff, like confessional for one thing, have just been a fun place to say a little about what is going on lately and so stuff tends to grow big.

We would all be more then welcome for some new blood in off-topic, so feel free to start a new thread and I will try to add to it if I can.

Also a lot of threads have already been used, so people just re-use the old ones. I.e. the wtf thread for posting any odd or weird pics.

I would start a thread, but I have bad luck on forums and tend to make dead threads, so I just comment in other threads.

So what you are saying is we really have nothing to say.
I agree, but at least we try
