I give up

Ya try to help, you even try to spell right. And all you get is some fool saying "NO". Well "NO" does not explain much, and even thought ya know all about the internet and computers, if you have something to say, say it.
Don't be snarcky, don't beat around the bush. SAY WHAT YA MEAN.

Sorry, maybe I just should have posted in the rant thread. But I'm tired of snippy responses to threads, and trying to be polite.

Don't you dare give up -- this place wouldn't be the same without you. After all, you're the one who really nails the "N" on NAM!

I'm not sure which post you were referring to, but it seems to me that: 1) We all have a bad day from time to time. 2) The really snippy responses are all about being able to watch the reaction, kind of like an arsonist likes to return to the scene of the crime. The difference is that NAM won't burn down. The less we respond in kind to the nasties, the sooner they'll get bored and leave. 3) NAM's moderators are not afraid to step in when someone has really crossed the line... just drop them a PM.

Seriously, I like your news from up north. So at the risk of appearing to belittle your concerns (trust me, that's not the intent...) maybe it won't look so bad in the morning  .

Let it out lot. But let us in. We'll listen. That NAM cycle thread seems to be true. Everyone's alittle edgy lately.

Don't give up Lot..........We need you

Ok,I took the dog for a walk, laid on the beach and watched the stars,I feel better. I also feel better from what you folks have said

But I just don't get the rude reponses to some of the threads If you know it all, then help the rest of us out. Don't just say we are dolts. Keep the offerings you have informative, fun, and light on putting anyone down.

I'm not talking about any one thread or forum, just how I see things lately.

We all either, have, are waiting for, or wish to have a MINI.
Let's be helpfull, kind, and have fun being here.

By the way, I'm not going anywhere

With added evidence that rudeness even got to our Lot "The Rock" 15, I conclude OmToast was right that things are a bit "nudgy" lately. I guess this can be a dangerous medium when someone has a burr in their pantaloons. It is easie to treat people badly when not looking at them.

As a gesture of friendship I am having pepperoni stuffed Combo pretzels sent to all! Oh and OmToast is due the supercheesed package. No, really, I insist. The first round's on me.

Ini, thanks for the offer but I prefer "Fiddle Faddle".

Remember we also have the "Anti-Rant" thread for those who like to dwell on the positive.

I would like to send out a group hug to everyone. Unfortunately because of the heat right now, I am feeling pretty darn "Ripe".

Lotsie... good to know you aren't going anywhere -- you haven't yet given us directions to your place for the NAM cookout!

As I have recently discovered that bratwurst will actually cook themselves, I will be responsible for these pale, tasty treats.

Pick-me-up party at Lot's!!!!!!!!

and Ini... I'll take UKNUTS' share of the Combos, please.

Jeez, and I haven't even been around...

Lot I agree, snoopy dance for at least 2 more months....

Seems like there are certain kinds of folks that need an internet forum to validate their own sketchy identity.

What's a "rescurer"? I'm guessing someone who cures reses but what the hell's a res? I just don't have the vocabultory to understand the label.

I could point fingers at a few people who seem to make a job of posting solely rude responses.

Egads, Stef, given your signature being a Ran48 quote I thought for a moment you were citing him as one getting a point of your finger.

I hope you all brought the Combos I left at your front doors in. Now I wish someone would buy a round of beer.

So am I... And I've made a few calls to a few friends of mine with "the" as their middle name... As in Jimmy THE fist, and Tony THE Muscles and they will be speaking with one of the key culprits... I'm hopeful we'll see an attitude change... Or a disappearance...

Hey Lot15,

Don't give up! Glad you found comfort in the doggie!! There's just no winning sometimes. Well I'm not even talking about winning, but there's always someone out there who will try to find fault and make things bad. If you're referring to any of the threads we've been in lately, I hear ya!

Richard

I'd forgotten about your friends. My favorite was the one whose last name was Neck. It was something like Jimmy the neck.
