I'm far too sedentary to do a 5k, but my wife does them all the time. She did 33 over the last year, as well as the Erie 1/2 marathon. I'll tell you what, I was starting to get bored with having to go to a 5k EVERY freaking weekend, but once I got the MINI, I actually look forward to driving her there, the crowd always parts and points as we drive to our parking spot. Not that I like showing it off or anything

Also, since most of them are charity, her entry fees generate literally hundreds of dollars in write-offs every year.

Motomohair-

Beware, the 5k's become almost as addicting as Mini's. First 5k, the 10k, could marathons be too far away. 5k's are the perfect distance, fun and quick. Keep running and motoring.

motomohair- Good Job! Glad to hear you are healthy enough to do such fun activities. Good luck with future 5k events.

Cool. I'll probably hit the 5k mile mark in my MINI tomorrow!

Want your MINI to run like a high-end sports car? 19% pulley and GIAC with larger injectors is all you need...BTW, 111,111 miles as of 2/2/08
