After some consideration I thought it would be a good idea to have a place where you can let us all know when something especially good happens to you. Doesn't have to be anything major. What has given you a warm-and-fuzzy lately???
With thanks to Lot and Ini for the idea.
There is enough negativity in the world. Lets not contibute to that.
I went snowboarding this weekend - but got a cold while I was there and so was only able to board for one day. I took yesterday off work as I was still feeling rough and my hubby took the day off too so that he could look after me. It gave me the warm and fuzzies because I was not that sick - but yet he was sweet enough to run around after me all day and make sure I was OK!!
I couldn't possibly be any happier with all the snow we've gotten in Boston! Two feet on the ground, and another 4-6 inches forecast for tomorrow. And the best part is, no forecast temps above freezing in sight, so it'll all stay on the ground, nice and powdery and flaky. I wish the whole winter was like this, every winter. I had lots of fun running around in my snowshoes on Sunday, and tonight - sledding! I love walking around and navigating the 16" wide shovel cuts through six foot high snowbanks. It adds a really cool adventurous dimension to the city.
I go to a military boarding school, only get to leave about once a month on certain weekends, and I just found out today I get an extra weekend this week!!! Which means not only do I get to go to a see a course in auto tech,(which is what i used the exuse for) but I also get to go to the BMWCCA meet-yes!!!!!!! This day is so good......maybe thie MINI will get ordered.

My Dad who is 83 - had a hip replacement on Jan. 3rd. It's a slow recovery, but he is doing great.....
I went to visit him every day after work for the 2 weeks he was in the hospital - gave me the warm & fuzzies to cheer him up every day....

SEE! That wasn't so bad! Don't you feel better now. While I know that real life isn't always Happy Happy La-La land I believe we tent to accentuate the negative while not fully appreciating the positive.
I drove down to my parent's home in La Jolla and the traffic was GREAT! I met them for lunch in the village and had a tasty grilled shrimp salad. Then, i prepared us a delicious beef tri-tip roast dinner with rice and a tasty mixed green salad. I had a lovely day!
Got up this morning... the dog greeted me warmly... started a half pot of coffee... went for little walk with the dog, said hello to the MINI, (all cleaned up and shiney in the garage)... played ukulele for an hour... got everyone in the house up on time... then drove the MINI 20 minutes into work... soon will be working final details for next week's trip to Puerto Vallarta... and right now I'm checking e-mail and wishing a good morning to my friends on NAM... how much better can life be?
You know that old saying about things always working out for the best? I need to keep repeating that to myself.
2 weeks ago I fired a friend because it just wasn't working. Her replacement quit via email late at night after only 2 days.
Now, it looks like I've found someone that is going to work out much, much better than either of the other 2. Yeah! And, the kicker is, if the second one hadn't quit I wouldn't have found this one.
Oh, yeah, a friendly competitor who is quite a bit smaller than my company called and told me today that he wants to outsource all of his business through us! double yeah!
No,snow,ice,slush,frost,icy patches,swirling snow,blowing snow,drifting snow,freezing rain,ice pellets,rain,blizzards,wind chill warnings,,,
Just -19C {32F}dry highyway, calm, and clear on the commute home
I got up early this morning to work out some problems with my Windows Media Player. I was able! Then I checked my e-mail. Thre was a note from a singer/songwriter friend who rarely tours the midwest, but she says she will be here in April! I usually take a few days off to travel with them and it is always fun. Then I called my dad who is in a "residential community". He was uncharacteristically upbeat. The sun is shining, the snow is white, and I'm going to treat myself to pizza tonight.

Life is good!
My oh my, it takes me back to my childhood, the smell of bacon drifting out of the kitchen, Arthur Godfrey on the radio. Yep, the best memories are the ones you remember best (jumbled or not!)

WOW!!! That looks alot like my guitar lesson last night. Very impressive. Looks like Coop has a FEVER for ukeleles!!! I used to have a neighbor who played bagpipes. He was really good. He drove some of the neighbors nuts but I liked it.
Lot, I think you sent some of your cold air down here. We have sunshine but it sure is cold.
