You had your Chips today?

FDA has approved use of chips to be put into patients, this tiny computer chip will be implanted in a patient's arm and can speed vital information about a patient's medical history to doctors and hospitals. Critics warn that it could open new ways to imperil the confidentiality of medical records.
I read the book 1984 when in high-school, think it's knocking at the door?

I see it as having more positive benefits than negative consequences.

They've also been voyeuring bedrooms, looking over what books we chose to put on our shelves, and many other things making me thing Big Brother doesn't need to stinkin' chips. But I love Big Brother.

Said it before, will say it again, I wish everyone would re-read 1984, or if too busy just rent the film version put out in 1984 (Richard Burton and others).

Aye! it'll shiver the timbers of all whether left, right, north or southerly.

So does this mean we're going to be seeing more people wearing aluminum foil hats?

I know, now we can Lojack the kids!

I was amused at the "paying for drinks" feature... now THAT'S beneficial, right?? No fumbling for credit cards or cash when you're plastered??

Actually, Michael, in Japan, little homing devices are placed in children's backpacks, which send emails to their parents when the kids enter through the school's gates, and then again when they exit for home!

As for us being chipped, I'm not crazy about the invasion of privacy issues surrounding this. Do we really want to support constant surveillance of ourselves for "security" or "health" purposes? What a price to pay!

It's the mark of the beast.

I refuse to be branded like some cow. Who cares if I die while some doctor is wasting time rummaging through my paper medical records. This is tooooooo creepy.
