>>PS... L.Mini... That's just mean!
Hell yes! I still got those crazy things too somewhere in a box, I think I have the entire 1st series too.
Oh and that was a mean thing to do L Mini, but funny. We use to do the same things too but also used a magic marker for an even more twisted twist!
Some of the toys I enjoyed were Silly Putty, Cootie, Mr. Potato-head, slinky, hula hoop, Etch-a-Sketch, and of course, Barbie! I wish I had kept my Barbie stuff...would be worth a mint, now! Heh heh, it's fun to think of this stuff!

As I recall one of my faves when I was little was Alfie the Robot, who asked you questions and you had to pick the answers from cards that you slid into the front of his chest. He was blue and had all these lights that blinked. I loved my Lite Brite, too....
And I also had a Sit-and-Spin...remember those? Thinking back on that....what a weird idea! I would always feel really ill after playing with that....
I had a Johnny West dude. I actually saw a replica set you can buy now with
Johnny and all his camping gear and guns and everything (brown guns, coffee pot,
bandanna, etc all brown)
You know you can still get Pop Rocks!!! There is a store in NYC called Economy Candy. They have bubble gum cigarrettes and cigars too. They even had Gold Rush gum (complete with its own canvas baggie). They have all kinds of great stuff. They have a website too: Economy Candy

Can't wait to meet her this November!
My mom brought one at the store....it had the red tip...that's how you knew what it was. She got it by accident. I used it one time and after I was like, why does this thermometer look so weird.....then she told me what it was and I almost threw up. Then she assured me that it had never been used in any other way except for oral temps and I felt better.
>>Also Shrinky Dinks....come on kids! Lets put big pieces of plastic in the oven and see what happens!
>>And do you remember those laytex bubble things you could buy in the tube and they gave you a little straw to blow them up? So you are like 9 and huffing this laytex compound trying to blow a bubble?? I used to LOVE THOSE!
As I was reading this thread, I thought to myself..."I really don't remember Clackers..." But SHRINKY DINKS!! OMG...I lllovvveeddd those things. I think I at some point had every Shrinky Dink made...should I really admit to that?
And that latex bubble thing...geez...I remember that. I also remember the awful smell that it had that produced a terrible buzz. Nothing like 5 yr olds buzzin'.
