I'm disappointed that Subaru apparently dropped the manual trans option for the XT version. Even still, I'd consider one to replace my wife's 07 Santa Fe when the time comes. Although she'd probably still think of the Forester as a "wagon" and not an SUV...

it wouldn't be so bad if they put the 5EAT in it but the '09 models soldier on with the 4EAT. Bleh.
Yep elsewhere in this large world Subaru sells cars & trucklets with some nice stuff. Here in North America we seem to only get what is old tech. All in all I still like Scooby's.
It's a good thing they didn't take the 09 Forester off road much. We have driven gravel back roads and such and with 12k miles the front bearings need replacing. Something the dealer says is not covered under warranty because they rims are scuffed. I thought the thing was capable of getting its feet dirty. Apparently not. It will soon be replaced with something other than a Subaru.
I still think Scooby's are great. Your dealer is what needs replacing, not the Subaru. Our two Foresters have seen a LOT of gravel & dirt road driving. Never a problem for our Scooby's.

call SOA and discuss this before ditching the car. You should ditch that dealer though
