Do you know of a MINI friendly car wash in the Northwestern Indiana Area? A touchless with out tracks or cloth wash with out tracks?
Post the location here.

You will have to drive over a hump but no tracks and cloth wash.

There is a car wash in Hobart called Classic Car Wash. It is right next to the Family Express at North Lake Park and Old Ridge Road. They have a "Laserwash 4000". The good thing about this car wash is it gets close to your boot. Most other automatic car washes are on tracks and go too far back behind our MINI's. You will leave with a clean car but a dirty boot . The "Laserwash 4000" will cut back behind your car once it passes. This way you get a good spray on the boot like the rest of the car . $7 for sented soap and everything .
I usually hand wash my car during the summer. Spring and Fall when it is cold, I'll use the Mr. Clean system until it gets too cold. After that I start using the automatic (touchless of course) car washes.

Reason: spelling
I've heard the term "touchless wash" and cannot for the life of me imagine how you can clean a car without contact. Unless they're using a very strong detergent.
They use VERY high pressure and VERY concentrated soaps. I don't feel that they are as effective as say a cloth car wash, but they do not have the risk of scratches like a cloth or bristle wash will.

In the winter when it is too cold I like the automatic car wash. By the end of winter though, there is a funky film covering the car that has to be hand washed off. I have to do somehting to keep my MINI chili red rather than chalk white.
It is worse in Indy as they use liquid salt rather than rock salt. It is alway soupy and messy. You never want to be behind a Salt Sprayer!

Using VERY high pressure on any car is not a good idea. Using it on a MINI can lead to disaster as water can easily get under the bonnet. Not necessarily a good idea.
actually ive taken bumbles while im home on leave in indiana to the local touchless wash in Fowler...it used to be on rails but not anymore....which is good cuz i have the 17in R90's and i would hate to ruin them...but its high pressure but the way the water comes out its no different that driving through a heavy rainstorm...i usually opt for the 9 dollar full wash from the pre rinse to the debugging to the spot free at the end and they have a auto dryer as well
