2005 John Cooper Works MINI Cooper S race car (210 HP, 2400 lbs)
on a Newman aluminum trailer (900 lbs) with electric brakes.
Massaged and sponsored by Bay Bridge Motors in Oakland, CA, filled with go-fast goodies from sponsor MiniMania, this is the car that carried Jerry Bradbury to the US Touring Car Championship pro series podium in 2008, finishing third overall and taking Rookie of the Year honors as well.
Current 2009 National Auto Sport Assn logbook means this car is ready to race today in USTCC or NASA’s Performance Touring D class. Also excellent for NASA’s Time Trials or as a dedicated track day car. This race car is NOT street legal.
A partial list of modifications includes:
Suspension - Koni adjustable coil over shocks, adjustable lower control arms, larger front bar and larger infinitely adjustable rear sway bar, adjustable camber plates, strut tower braces, StopTech brakes, Speed Star 7.5X17 racing wheels with Toyo 235/45/17 RA-1 tires. Extra set of three (the other one was damaged at Buttonwillow) Kosei Racing wheels 7X17 with Nitto NT01 tires.
Cabin - Full custom made roll cage, window net, right side head net, Recaro racing seat, 6 point Schroth racing harness, fire bottle, electrical master kill switch, passenger side mounted gel-cell battery, interior and doors stripped to the metal, roll up window glass removed.
Engine: Super reliable 1.6 liter supercharged JCW engine, 15% pulley, larger Alta intercooler, Ultrik intercooler bellows, K&N cold air intake, Ultrik high performance cam, Nology Hotwires, custom freeflow exhaust header.
