Hello, I just picked up an 06 MCS with some after market add ons (wheels, exhaust and air intake). I'm getting into the boards and clubs for more information and to possibly go on some cruises with others. Here are some pics of the newbie. Thanks and Happy new year!
P.S. Anyone know of a good technician (independent or otherwise) that works on minis in San Ramon area? I'm approaching the factory warranty and need to have newbie gone through, bumper to bumper. Any suggestions would be most welcome. TIA!

Welcome to the family! I can't help you with finding a technician, but I'm sure someone will point you in the right direction. Nice car, BTW. It looks exactly like mine, except for the color and wheels and other stuff!

I just can't help myself, I'm a MINIster!
Hi danimal669! Welcome to MINIdom. Check out NorCal MINIs which is a great MINI club near you.
As far as independent shops near you, I especially like John's European in Dublin which was started, and is staffed, by former MINI mechanics and service managers, most from East Bay MINI. The Club has a few events a year at their shop and they offer a club discount. The prices are reasonable and the work has been top notch.
Not on the west coast but I saw your post. I'd just tell you look up information on rupturing strut towers and get some strut reinforcement plates or a brace if you car doesn't have either yet. Other than that, welcome to the family
