Any NorCal Mini Musicians Here?

Calling all NorCal MINI members who still play an instrument!

Even if you haven't played for a while but still love your music
and have your guitar, sax, drums, or whatever you play, let us
know by posting on this thread. We have members who would
love to put together a good old "jam session" somewhere and
really have some fun.

yay Norcal musicians!

I play guitars, I play for the church sometimes,
and Jesse plays both guitar and the bass.
Jesse has also played in his dad's band-
We both come from musical families.
(my dad used to play trumpet & write for Tower of Power
back in the day- he's still a professional trumpet player)

I have a black and green Fender Strat,
an acoustic Epiphone, and a sweet starburst Gibson from the
40's that's my inheritance.

Been playing guitar for 37 years - part of the time semi-professionally. I'd love to jam. Got about 15 different guitars and three amplifiers.

All you guitarists - we can use your help at a non-profit I'm involved with - Guitars not Guns (www.guitarsnotguns.org) We provide free guitars and guitar lessons to foster kids and at-risk youth as an alternative to violence. Give it a look. Need a committment of one hour a week to assist in giving lessons.

I'm thinking about that too. Will depend on the number of participants and if we find a drummer.

If we get a band together, what do we call it? The Accessories?

We couldn't call ourselves "The Accelerators" since that is Bruce Willis' band,
we could call ourselves "The NorCal Coopers Band", or even just call ourselves "MINI"....(music in new improvizations)....
but "The Accessories" would be cool too.......Accessories to what though?

It's awful early for me to think rationally :impatient

For a little inspiration why don't you all come out to Betty's Rock Bar on Thursday, January 24 (starts at 8:00 pm) in Walnut Creek, located at 1251 Arroyo Way, to see the Pat Travers Band with the Billy Martini Show to benefit Guitars not Guns. Great Blues and we'll be raffling off a signed guitar!!! Hope to see you there!!! ROCK ON!!!!
