Don't know about a name, but I've got a slogan..

It's not small, it's Mini.

Take that Lyle Lovett.!

BTW, I've been known to make normally sedate people run a 100 meters in 12 seconds just by pulling my guitar out of the case.

The 23Club in Brisbane

The 23 Club where Jimmie Rivers recorded Brisbane Bop is a fun place to play and would probably be open to a jam session.

Hi Trico
I play piano and sax with Jerry Kuhel most every Friday 5ish to 7or8. We started out there basically just rehearsing in front of people. It makes rehearsing a lot more productive but you have to be prepared.
This Friday we have the sax player from Lydia Pense and Cold Blood
http://www.coldblood.biz/ coming in so we wont have any sit-ins but we are looking for another player to take leads, probably not another guitar though. I'd like to find a violin, horn, flute or accordion to join us.
This is a bit of us
http://web.mac.com/bobsax/iWeb/Site/...6%20Jerry.html

The owner would probably be okay with you guys coming in and doing a jam session but you'll have to play for tips.

Hmmmm.....well, it can play what is termed in NAF circles as a "gypsy" scale. I don't know how to better describe it. The NAF can play almost a full chromatic scale, the two half notes just above the fundamental are missing, though. But if it's a good flute, the rest is there as well as 3 and sometimes four half notes above the octave.

Hello all,

I'm new to the forum and found myself perusing this thread out of sheer admiration for music. I play the drums, keys, and guitar. A MIM Fender Tele, Squire Tele Custom, which for some odd reason has an amazing sound for such a low budget guitar. I play through a Fender Deville. Tama drumset. I wish I had a keytar, or a bagpipe. :(

I'm no prodigy but love to jam with friends.

P.S. can anybody point me in the right direction towards the introduction thread?

Perhaps its time for "Mini Idol". I think there are enough talented muscicans in the Mini community to give it a try. Besides it would be another great reason to have a "Get-together". I can serve as a judge or spectator, I would need too mcuh Brandy to be a contestant

Seriously we do have many members of the Mini community that can play and sing. It would be fun to find a venue to give it a try
