I'm disappointed there's nothing much going on out here in the western outpost of the country.

No I'm not up to organizing. I already manage our men's hockey league for 400 guys, I run one of the teams in the league, I organize summer hockey from May to Sept, I organize (bike) road rides for the members of our team entered in the
Whistler Granfondo .
For MINI events I'll sit back and wait for something to happen

Have already tried. Drives to AMVIV from Vancouver, the annual Christmas toy drive at the Pan Pacific. The toy drive, I have a bit more success. I may get 3 cars out sometimes.

My wife and I are are in Toronto for a weekend getaway and happened upon this event. We convinced Mini organizers to let us attend so we could see the Countryman. Went last night and took tons of pix of the two Countryman models they had there. One was a base model and the other a heavily optioned S All4 with many aerokit parts. Both models were preproduction. Will post pix Tuesday when we return home to Philly area.
Having seen the Countryman in person we are even more excited and anxious to get ours. The car is stunning!
