OK guys We are going resched. for July!! Lets get on board and get the most out of our cars!! We are going to try for either CT/Nj- If you know a dyno shop that will let us use it -please let me know- Also what Sun. is good for you!!
WE NEED MORE CARS QUICK !! OR THIS WILL BE CANCELLED!!!
So... 1fstmini is gone... but event is still going on.
If you live in the NY area or willing to take the trip out here, Mike and I are in the works on setting up a dyno day to offer his tunes which will be around mid April or later. As talked about in the upgrade thread, any performance combo can be tuned on ALL types of fuels ( even e85 ) . We will need a minimum of 8 cars to get this started so please PM me if you want to get on the list. Tuning fee is $350 per car plus dyno time which is $800 A day, so everyone will split. Mike will also consider a group discount per tune depending on the the turn out. If you have any questions please feel free to ask. Mike will also require a $200 deposit to secure your spot on the list in which the remainder of $150 will be paid on the dyno day plus the dyno fee which will be announced.
This will also be open for anyone to come down and watch on how a tune is done as well as a get together to see other peoples mods and to shoot the breeze.
Mike has been so kind to offer the Bosch 550cc injectors at a low low price of $300 INSTALLED during the day of the event. This is only extended to the people who are signed up for tuning. Please contact Mike right away to place your order. This can only be offered when Mike receives the $200 security deposit to add yourself to the list.
I just think logistics of doing this on the island are a deterrent. If you guys pulled this together, say in Hartford CT area then you might see more people sign up. Getting to LI is a bit of a PIA. But just my opinion of course. I'd really like to see Mynes out this way this summer.
I know of a shop in Norwich, CT...Swift Motorsports has a Dyno Dynamics machine there. The guys there are really cool, and they know what they are doing. I can check to see how much they would want for the day.
Swift is good I hear. I do have a place near me but that's getting hard for you NY and NJ guys to get to. I'm not a dyno guy so I really don't know what's good or not. But the guy near me, Putnam, CT, only charges $100 an hour so that would be pretty cheep. ( at least the last I heard he was that much)
i think Vernon29RW is interested and want to join. but we still want to hear from mike, because he is concern that we can't get 10 cars now. and the date is closer, i would suggest that we push the date little back and get people join the event.

hey just posting here to be official about it. I would like to be put on the list assuming I have the day off (my days off are constantly changing so can't be sure if I'll have off). Thanks bebop86 for starting this up again. Hopefully some more LI'ers will get on board and we can have a fun day together.

anyone heard anything new on this? Are there still plans for a tune in July?? I was never added to the list either Any info would be nice. Also wouldn't it be more beneficial to have this thread listed in the drive train forum as well? I know I never really check new posts in the regional area.

well its August now, still waiting to hear some new news on this tune event? Is anyone still sort of running this or is it basically lost? I wonder if we really ever got 10 people because the list was never updated. I asked to be put on the list in May and nothing so maybe we just lost out. I'd be willing to go to NJ, CT, or preferably here on LI to get this tune done. I'm going to be putting a head and cam in the next couple of months and really am going to need a tune. Anyone heard anything on Mynes remote tune? is it ready yet?
