Are any NM MINI members participating in the Dustball Rally 1000? It starts and ends in El Paso, TX during the weekend of Aug. 25-26. It's a "gimmick rally" (solve puzzles along the way and avoid being tricked), with 1000+ miles driven during the weekend. The overnight (Sat) is a mystery and the only clue is that it is not in NM. I am registered (along with my sister as co-pilot), as #77 "Team MINI Dust Mites". There will only be 50 teams, max. $1500 1st prize ($270 entry fee). First Dustball Rally for 2011 is March 26-27 and registration is currently open. It is to be a 1000 mile, 2-day, 1-night gimmick rally. Thus far 14 cars are registered to participate ranging VW, Porsche, Aston Martin, and more. Hope to get some Mini representation here.
