How do you set presets. Manual does not tell you.

Just like in most other cars. Tune to the desired station. Then, press and hold the numbered button you would like to assign the station to. Hold for a few seconds, and it will beep, confirming the preset.

Your solution is great for the buttons. The current systems with the round controller also can set up a list of presets on the screen that you can select via the round controller ****. It is not clear how you add stations to the preset screen.

What do you do when you go to the station you want to preset, hold the button down and it gives you an error message "cannot complete request"? It works on one AM station I tried, but no HD and no FM. Can't find a thing in the manual about this. I am reasonably tech savy and I am pulling my hair out. I'm setting it up for my wife who is 0% tech savy so this is not working out very well.

If you have the 6.5"/8" screen:
I have found for some functions you must set the button not while viewing the item, but while it is selected in the list of the menu tree above it. Pretty much anything in MINI Connected or Settings I have to set this way. Radio stations work as expected though, both FM and satellite.

Hope this is of some help.

- Pull up list of stations
- Highlight station to set
- Press OPTION button on controller or radio, then "Store Station"
- You should see "Presets" on top of screen. Rotate controller to select Preset slot and press to confirm - you should hear a chime and it will spit back to the station list
- Repeat with other desired stations

TO ACCESS PRESETS:
- From main menu, go into Radio. Tilt joystick left until you see "FM, AM, Presets, Tone" and select "Presets"
- My preferred option: Set "Presets" as one of your Favorites buttons (1-6 buttons)
