I have a 2016 Mini,
What's with the radio station controlling on the wheel ?????
I press the down button and the stations numbers go up.
I press the up button and they go down.
Anyone else have this going on, seems backwards to me ?

 

Perfectly normal (well, for the F56 anyway).

In the menus, the stations are listed going up and down and they get higher as you go down. Hence, the reason down goes up and up goes down.

 

if you need to change stations while parallel parking they are just right

Really, aren't the up and down buttons backwards.

They aren't backwards. It's a MINI/BMW thing. If you look at a list from top to bottom, you would arrow down to the next item on your list. Your radio stations/music list in the MINI start from the top. Skipping to the next station or title is the next item down, so you tap the down arrow or to go up a station or title you use the up arrow to go to the previous item on your list.


Most people are programmed to pushing the up arrow to go to the next station or title since we associate up as an increase or next item. In the MINI, you are using the arrows to navigate your list, starting from top to bottom.


You'll get used to it.

I have a 14S and the buttons are correct... up goes up and down goes down, I get into my wifes 15S and it's backwards like you say. I'm all screwed up then. lol

Wonder why they changed it.

 

If all else fails just use the ****! I do that all the time!
