1st post, have an 04 MCS with stock radio, looking to install a hard drive for my 25000 plus mp3s in the boot that I can control via the steering wheel controls. Anyone done this ?

Go check the hack the iBus YahooGroup, odds are somebody there has done something similar. You're going to have to get into the iBus if you want to use the steering wheel controls...

Get a Phatnoise system with the MINI interface you will love it, its a bit costly but you have to pay to play.

The phatnoise uses SSA technology so it tell you which artist, album, or genre and it works with MFW
