disable/hide satellite input?
folks,
is there a way to get rid of the satellite radio selection on the base stereo? I'm OK with disassembly and disconnection if that's what it takes, but it does seem like this should be configurable!
I have zero interest in sirius, and I keep finding myself accidentally switching to it.
thanks!

I bet it would be as simple as a few settings in NCSExpert.
It would probably start with removing 655 from the VO. 655 is the option that says you have a satellite tuner. Then you would have to find any module which refers to the tuner, and set it to nicht_aktiv. FWIW I searched all of my modules and couldn't find a line which refers to the tuner.
I think CHAMP or in my case HAMP is the stereo module, but mine has almost nothing in the TRC. Try removing 655 and see what happens!

As long as you knew what you were doing; had a known working system, properly removed 655 from the vehicle order and defaulted CAS and FRM, I think the risk is very small. I had to add rear fog lights to my VO as a beginner to coding and it wasn't a big deal.
Removing satellite from the VO would take all of 5 minutes for me to "test", it's just not something I'm willing to play with. I really should though as my satellite is just an input I have to pass through every time too!
