Pics of RAM MOUNT...screwed into dash.
Thought this was more of a "Navigation and Audio" thread than a "Modifications / Interior" thread. I use my phone for navigation and audio.
Anyway, after FIVE YEARS of not wanting to screw anything into my dash, and dealing with several different kinds of suction cup mounts, not wanting to use a ProClip mount (because of cost and placement options), etc., I finally decided to screw a RAM Mount into my dash.
It's very solid. I used 5/8th's (-ish) screws...they seemed to go in plenty far without going in TOO far (was afraid I might hit something).
I did pre-drill the hole...the material underneath the padding is plastic...mine is tightened nice and firm, but don't tighten your screws too too much.

EDIT...still plenty happy with the mount 6 months later...has remained nice and firm.
