iPod Touch 5th gen compatibility advice please
I just lost my old 2nd generation iTouch and had to buy a new 5th generation version. Has anyone using the new 5th generation iTouch with their MINIs (especially those with MINIs newer than 2011) experienced any problems using it with your MINI? Specifically, have you had any issues using the 30-pin adapter with the factory supplied Y-cable? I keep hearing conflicting information regarding whether or not the 5th gen iTouch works with the MINI now (whether you use the 30-pin adapter or use the USB port). I also hear conflicting information regarding whether it will or will not charge when connected. I hear some owners see their music is playing, but no sound comes through the speakers or they don't see the tracks on the stereo. Basically, is there something I need to do to ensure the iTouch will work with my 2013 MINI or, with the adapter, can I just plug and play as usual (HK sound system)? Thanks in advance for your advice!

Update: I just received my iPhone Touch and tested it in my 2013 Cooper S using the 30-pin adapter and y cable and it works great. No problems just as above for the iPhone 5s. Thanks for the response!

I've heard some MCS models come/came with this Y cable. Is this true? I need to thumb through all my stuff and see if I have the cable. If not, I'm afraid to ask what this cable will run me through the dealership.
