Problems in my R56 with the Boost system and upgrading to Aftermarket Navi
So a little background, Im MECP Certified (this just means i have been professionally trained to install mobile electronics inside of a 12volt circuit). I recently bought my Ellie(R56) about 6 months ago and have slowly upgraded the sound system. First the door speakers (Focal Components with 4.400 Alpine amp) and now im on to the radio itself. I have all the kits and wiring harnesses and metra dash kit needed. I have everything soldered and Heatshrunk together (Just because). The first attempt was unsuccessful because of the missing accessory lead wire in the harness (PIN 16). After research at Crutchfields I have learned that i have to connect said wire to the fuse box in the wiper fuse to allow the signal to turn the Navi on.
Has anyone used this fuse before?
Useless information
Headunit - Pioneer AVIC-X920BT (With x930 Firmware and Maps)
Links
Crutch fields Manual for the wiring harness

Apparently there is no IGN in the 40 pin Quadlok any more. They use a message over the MOST bus to turn the radio on and off.
So you need to run a wire for IGN with aftermarket units, or there is an expansive module for the BMWs that does it too.
You'll probably be better off in the MK2 forum.
