gps navigation system problem

hello, i have a 2004 mini cooper s that i am having problems with the dvd navigation system player that no longer functions. power light comes on and flashes but will not eject cd and does not load up screen. i have pulled it out since it is draining the battery for some reason. the part number is 65906942908-02 i would like to find one used as the new ones are very expensive. my question is do any other models work with this system or does anyone repair them? or does anyone have one they would like to sell? sucks just having a blank screen. thanks for any help. feel free to email me if you have an answer. frankinaustin@gmail

thanks

Any MK4 will fit into the MINI from any other BMW as they are the same units. You might try some of the BMW forums if you can't find one here.

You may want to get that DVD out of there somehow, for starters a new DVD will cost 200.00, second it may be the disk that is actually the problem. I had to have mine cleaned at a Gamestop, once that was done mu unit worked great.
Just a thought

Try holding the eject button for 30 seconds, this might work. If not, you will need to take apart the unit to retrieve the DVD.
