iphone 3gs smartphone prep snap-in

I have a 2010 Clubman on the way in. I ordered the car with smartphone prep and asked the dealer about the snap-in adapter for an iphone 3gs. He said I would have to wait a few weeks. He didn't ever really say why. does anyone have smartphone prep working with a 3gs snap-in or know anything about it?

Also, someone told me this part number might be right. 84 21 2 151 043 anyone know?

Congrats! Nice choice of car and welcome to the forums

The part number ending on 043 is for the iPhone 3G, which did work for the 3GS, but there is now a 3GS-specific set of snap-ins:

No Smartphone Integration (6NE):
84 21 2 158 682

With Smartphone Integration (6NF):
84 21 2 158 683

From what I've seen of people posting about them, most dealers need to order them in, so that's probably the reason for the wait.
