You need to create the playlists in iTunes, and label them MINI1, MINI2, etc. You should be able to scroll through them from the steering wheel or use the numbered buttons on the head unit.
You're not limited to 99 songs per playlist, if you have more than 99 in the list, it just starts over at #100 with #1 but will still be that same playlist.
I'm surprised they didn't give you the book that came with the iPod interface...assuming of course this actually what they installed and not just the aux input, in which case everything I stated above will not apply.
EDIT: just re-read the title of this thread...not exactly sure what a "Factory Aftermarket" iPod cable is...since those two terms together contradict themselves.

Yea, my dealer experience is a whole other story. Sorting it out. No book. I haven't found one online anywhere. Nothing in their owner's lounge.
I'll try renaming the playlists. That makes sense. I only have access to whatever playlist was playing when I plug it in now. I see that. I can't switch. It just says "no disc" with any of the other buttons. That's good to know though.
It's a factory iPod plug. It comes from the glove box and says "Mini" with a logo when it's plugged in. No aux inputs, unless that's on the rear panel.
