Adding "best of xm" to stock sirius receiver

Posted in Clubman Talk, and got no response, so figured I'd post here.

I have a 2009 clubman with built-in sirius. Does anyone know if the audio system is capable of receiving the best of xm package? Currently, the channels only go up to 195, while best of xm starts at 196.

When I log into my Sirius account, selecting any of the Best of XM packages gives a message about it not being compatible with the car's receiver.

Try checking with Sirius. For my 07 car, it's not compatible.

I doubt it is compatible. Just because of the age of the design of the BMW receiver. Only a few of the newest Sirius radios can get the Best of XM channels.

I wish someone would create a "SiriusConnect" adapter that could go into the changer control (like the iPod adapter) that could go to a standard Sirius SC1 tuner or the PlugNPlay universal dock kit so I could use and control my Stilletto from the MINI controls and get the stilletto into the glove box instead of being mounted on the dash next to the speedometer.

I second that! I miss having Sirius badly in my car and am contemplating getting the Sirius system from MINI and installing it myself. I would love some kind of "Siriusconnect" system that could save us some money.

I just purchased a 2010 MINI Cooper S with integrated Sirius Satellite radio and was able to add the Best of XM package -- $51 for the year. No way I'm motoring without O&A

I have my '07 hardtop S at the dealer having a stock integrated satellite Rx installed. I'll post if it will accept the best of XM.
