Boost is just the name of the system
sounds like you have the base system like i have
its really the only thing i dont like about the car
(the radio combined with the speedo)
ive seen a video on yyou tube showing how to remove it
dont remember where i seen it.
it may be one of those things ya just might let a pro take care of
so nothin else gets incorrected

The signal wires are easier to access at the X9331 connector at the drivers side footwell (rather than take apart the dash to get to the back of the radio). You might also want to use only front channels for amp input because of bass filtering on the rear channels. Search on X9331 for more information.

Sorrry to have to open this thread up again.

I got my Front door speakers in and my power wire ran along with finding the x9331 harness . I used from what iv learned in the past and i took a 9 volt battery with some wire and i tried to locate the direct speaker leads ( factory wires ) by making the speaker pop withthe 9 volt. I had no luck.

If i unplug the harness what side is still hooked to the speakers
male pin side or female side ?

Also iv read you can get a 12 volt turn on from the cigerate lighter well is that the one in the front of the accessory plug in the back or both .

Thanks again

I believe the male pins are on the speaker side. I haven't tested it though.

Both are on the same circuit. Use whichever is convenient.
