How to turn off Nav display

This is a tad unusual.

'03 MCs with factory Nav. Due to a variety of situations it no longer has the Nav system unit under the passenger seat. It's gone.

That's no problem to me, I just want to turn off its big display in the dash.

The display is on all the time - glows faintly at night and makes noise.

I'd like to disable it - by removing the fuse? But I don't know if taking the fuse out will kill other functions. Aanyone know?

Anyone know which fuse to remove to disable this?

Any other ideas?

I think you want to post this in the 1st gen audio/nav section...or at least search there and see if you find the answer.

I have no idea of the answer...but here is a wiring chart for your car..

I had a 2003 Cooper S, but there was a menu option to turn it off, but if the nav unit is gone, pull the nav screen out and unplug it. As I recall, if you take the down tubes out and remove the radio/climate/toggle switch unit, you can reach behind and unplug it or take it out. I remember on mine seeing a connector with a label that said "NAV" and unplugged it. Give it a shot.
