Craven Speed Garmin mount for Gen 2

Has anyone used the Craven Speed Gen2 Garmin Nuvi mount? I'm interested in photos from the out side prospective. Does the unit sick out and look obtrusive?

I have the Craven Speed mount with my Tom Tom. It looks the same. I love the way it looks and works. I almost always have it in the "down" position and view it through the steering wheel. It can go on the left or right side of the tach.

Mini2na is using our Bracket W, which has been recently discontinued. We do have some blemished ones at reduced prices if anyone is interested PM me.

I don't mean to be confusing, so to clarify, we still offer our TomTom Kits for the second gen. They use a smaller bracket with only one mounting point in the same spot. You can still put your GPS on either side of the tach See them here.

I just finished installing the Craven Speed Nuvi mount.
Very simple, very nice, albeit a tad expensive.
It must be made of exotic metal.

I'm not in a hurry, I just like to drive fast.

AustinS - Looks great! I ordered the mount as well. How does it look from the outside looking in?

I'm considering getting one of these to replace my gominigo mount. Does it vibrate excessively while driving? This and the fact that the steering wheel cover half the screeen are my complaints about the gominigo unit.

If you'd like, I can take a picture tomorrow. It looks good though and I doubt anyone ignorant of the Mini would know it wasn't OEM. It also holds my hat and sunglasses which in turn hides the Nuvi.

It is very stable. Little or no vibration. When hitting a major tar strip it does shake a little but you'd expect that.

Thanks, the gominigo one vibrates like mad driving on pretty smooth roads, it's a little too flimsy.

Nice. My wife has ordered me one for my birthday present. Just waiting for delivery and then time to install. Then I'm going to have to figure out how to run the wire and preferably hook directly into the fuses so I keep the cig lighter free for other stuff.

I ended up ordering the mount and installed it last night. I love the look of the mount and am very happy with it. It is a little pricey but I'm still happy. Ended up mounting on the right side of the tach like AustinS did. I can also report very little vibration and I have the sport suspension.

One thing to note, be careful with the spacers. I dropped one and it ended up stuck behind the tach mount. I guess i should have known better than to attempt an install at night, in an underground parking lot.

I guess the next step is to think about hard wiring the power supply

Just be careful when/if you adjust the steering column up. If you go all the way up, the mount will contact the front edge of the padded dash. No reason to move it that far though. We have the Craven mount on both MINIs, love them both.
