Help, Hiding wires behind downtube

Was hoping someone could suggest how to remove the passenger downtube to hide my Ipod dock connectors wires.
I did a search but seem not to be able to find this particular topic. I know someone here has pulled their dash apart.
Last night I installed the proclip glove box mount with the swivel Ipod holder . Looking for a clean way to hide the wires . right now they are just hanging down from the proclip with the extra wire wraped up neatly and stuck into the left mesh pocket on passenger side floor.

Depending on your comfort with removing the down tubes & center consol parts..

I have hidden wire routing inside the down tubes... There was a hole already there for the wires to pass from the bottom to the top... Just need to trim a little section for wire so it does not get pinched at the bottom.. At the top the wire can easily come out from under the dash...

Maybe that helps??

How is the downtubes attatched. Are their clips or any hidden torx screws . I installed the ipod and the wires hug the down tube pretty well , so it is not horrible , but if down tubes can be easily removed would really like wires hidden.
