Where did you put your Sat radio?

I am getting Sirius sat radio. I really want to hide it under the toggle switches/behind the cup holders. But I would like to see where you put yours to give me some ideas. Post up pics!

I keep putting it off because I want to afford the $1,070 for OEM. I have a portable in my Honda which I drive when I can't take not listening to Howard Stern. I get a quick fix. I am very close to getting the wireless unit though with a car kit because $1,070 seems like a rip off and I just can't justify a grand+ for something that should not be that complicated. Other car companies are giving it away but you know Mini.

If you aren't set on the provider you could look into the XM Direct unit that taps into the CD changer wires in the boot and allows you to use your stock head unit to control it. I like it because I don't have to see it. In fact I like it so much I hacked into the H/U in my truck and added one.

XM radio

The XM radio is great. I have been using mine for about 2 years. XMradio plugged into a Blitzsafe adapter in the the HK amp in the boot. Little trickey running the sat antenna but not to tough.

LOL the OP stated he wanted SIRIUS... if he wanted XM he would have posted as much... back on topic please!

Besides, the post wasn't so much about "which service" but more about "where to mount the receiver" - it seems the decision is already made to get an aftermarket display unit.

That is where I was thinking about putting mine. I am going to get the Sportster 4; which is a little bigger. How difficult was it to mount down there?

very easy. I just removed the factory radio so i had more room to run the wires, and the satelite unit is held in place with some 3m double sided tape
