DICE and factory bluetooth conflicts, compatibility
Has anyone successfully integrated a DICE ipod unit in a car with factory bluetooth? Does one hijack the other? Are they compatible? I am talking about either the head unit or the trunk/boot installation options for the DICE.
I am trying a trunk install. My head unit install seemed to be incompatible with voice or any sound from the bluetooth. It cut off the factory aux. input completely. The bluetooth pairs and works but without sound. It also shows contacts on the text display. The ipod only plays but does not work with the steering wheel and, as I mentioned, defeated the aux input and does not display text. Tom of EAS is suggesting a trunk install. Just wondering if anyone has had these problems and fixed them and/or if they were successful with the boot/trunk install if they had factory bluetooth phone. You know, the one with the sleeve in the arm rest.

The reason you are having problems is form the radio interface kit version of the DICE - you should be using the trunk interface kit. This was explained in email and PM.
As soon as your radio interface kit arrives, we'll exchange it for the correct version.
